| Activities of the Projects Management Unit |

- Establishing the HEEP policy.
- Coordinating among the Higher Education Enhancement Projects (HEEP).
- Coordinating among Project Management Unit (PMU), University Project Management Units (UPMU’s), and HEEP.
- Performing necessary disbursement for enhancement projects implemented in the Egyptian Universities.
- Performing both national and international procurement for universities and technical colleges.
- Carrying out different forms of financial transactions according to both the Egyptian and World Bank rules.
- Training the procurement officers in the University Project Management Units (UPMU’s) of the Egyptian universities and technical colleges on the World Bank’s procurement rules and procedures in order to be qualified for accreditation by the World Bank.
- Setting indicators for measuring the performance of the enhancement projects on the following levels:
- Projects’ Management unit.
- Enhancement projects.
- Projects within universities.
- Monitoring and evaluating the outputs and outcomes of the HEEP project and preparing a collective report about the Higher Education Enhancement Project (HEEP).
- Monitoring the measurement of the project’s impact upon social development.
